BODY RECOMP MADE SIMPLE

 

Below is a simple guide to optimizing your body composition - lose fat while building muscle. Optimized body composition is the ultimate cheat code for health, self confidence, and performance. Completing a body recomp really is like unlocking your own super power.

To get started, do these seven things:

1. Get 10,000 steps per day. Best practice is to add a walk before work and before eating anything.

2.  Eliminate drinking calories (including alcohol). Drink water, unsweet tea, coffee, etc... instead.

3.  Minimize ultra processed foods and seed oils. This means severely limiting fast foods, junk foods, and eating out. Replace salad dressings with olive oil and vinegar. 

4.  Skip breakfast on the weekend to extend your overnight fast. Do not eat until after noon. Schedule low intensity workouts for the weekend and do them fasted.

5. Start a strength training program. Lifting, CrossFit, etc...

6. Prioritize protein in your diet. Make sure you average a minimum of 0.8 grams of protein for each pound of your optimal body weight. Use an app like "My Fitness Pal" to track your protein intake. Use a quality protein and recovery supplement to help you meet your protein goal.

7. Go to bed 9 hours before you need to get up. Be consistent with your bed time.

That's it. Simple. But not easy of course. One last tip - on the right mindset. Think of this project as you taking on a new identity. After all, super heroes always have to take on a new identity once they discover and unlock their powers.
